Get More from Your Local Library

I’ve thought of sharing an article posted recently on a multimedia blog. It’s like knowing how you can have fun and how you can get it without touching your wallet. Yeah, talking about freebies…Discover what awaits you when you visit your local library…

    Here goes:

    Multimedia whore…

Re-printed courtesy of http://iprivilege.com/multimedia Posted by: admin in anything else, books, free, movies, music, web, tags: free

I went in to our local library and was amazed at all the goodies available to me at that very instant. It was like going to a candy store and just picking out all my wanna-haves in a matter of minutes. Books, videos, CD’s, and I’m not talking ancient, dusty, old-smelly items that you wouldn’t dare touch for fear of micro-organisms living in it….

I’m talking NEW items that look like they just came out, fresh from-the-box kinda stuff. Brand new items that have barely been touched by other hands, except for the library folks that carefully placed them in their slots.

I was very much impressed at how our local library at the Brighouse branch put a lot of effort in providing us, the best and the newest items available in the market. This supports the idea that when we think and act collectively, bring a community together and share ideas, we can only do better.

It was quite a treat. I picked out a handful of books that I wanted to read, movies that have intrigued me and probably not see anymore in the theatres, and albums of the artists that have so much more to offer than the songs that they make.

Multimedia is engaging you to be a part of an experience that other people crafted and put a lot of effort into. It can be as unique as one can think and feel, and yet it can move you and bring a community of sharing. Ideas are meant to be shared. And when people come together and do their part to promote this lifestyle, it’s a true gem in our society.

Did I mention that it’s also all FREE?!!!!

Looking at the Mid-week, A Day in the Life of a Multitasker

Oh my mind is so full of ideas. I woke up this morning much earlier than I should: 4:50 am. What day is it? Wow, it’s Wednesday, March 18th. How time goes… I couldn’t complain; I just noticed, the night went by so fast…

Okay, time for coffee, I thought. Well, there… got my cup of coffee, hmm… some kind of kick to get me started for the day. I wonder how my day would be like, without it.

Afterwards, I will have to review my things-to-do list. Well, it would be an interesting mid-week for me. I remember I have some things to work on for my clients. Not only that I will be looking up some property listings but I will also be busy with pre-approval of mortgages for first-time buyers.

In the next few while, I’ll be working on my writing stuff. I have some topics that have been lingering through my mind, which I will feature in my blogs later, particularly here on Activerain.

Not to mention the fact that I am also busy promoting my published work: “YOU ARE PRIVILEGED” book. Then, of course I have another book coming out soon. Lastly, did I mention social networking? So there I go with multitasking.

With that in mind, I am wishing everyone a pleasant day; and that you had a great time, yesterday, in commemoration of St. Patrick’s Day.
